Design and implementation of a low cost optical based paint viscosity control device

In this study, a full-scale prototype of water-based printer’s paint viscosity control device was proposed and conducted. Specifically, novel approach low-cost determination by exploiting the optical sensing method developed to exhibit concept. The feasibility demonstrated measuring accuracy, setpoint deviation estimating its development cost. An accuracy 1.5 cSt standard 1 were recorded comparing measured data with Zahn cup method. results at value 40 gave variation 0.8 cSt. convergence time from initial 45 10 minutes. cost excessively competitive only one-fifth comparable commercial products.
